An Teaghlach Uilinn provides 24-hour medical care to our residents offered by a specially selected Team of Registered General Nurses and Carers led by our Nurse Manager. Support is provided by a dedicated team of doctors who are available on call. Specific Care Plans will be developed for each resident in conjunction with the resident themselves, their family and their doctor, to ensure that we provide the best social, medical and spiritual support to the each resident. All categories of older, disabled or terminally ill residents are cared for on a long-term or respite care basis as well as convalescence care for all age groups following hospitalisation.
An Teaghlach Uilinn offers to the resident a range of high quality services including Physiotherapy, Chiropody, and Ophthalmic services, sparing you the need to travel to avail of these services. We also have a qualified hairdresser who attends at the Centre on a weekly basis to provide advice, tips and a new hairstyle. |

Security was at the forefront of the design of this facility. All access, both to the grounds and Centre are voice and electronically controlled. All exits are monitored for access and egress and CCTV systems monitor the facility throughout the day for the security of our residents. Each area of the facility can be individually compartmentalised only accessible by reader system. State of the art fire and nurse call systems are in place throughout the Centre and each staff member is highly trained in their use and in prevention and evacuation techniques. A safe is also available for depositing valuables and this is encouraged
An Teaghlach Uilinn actively promotes the social side of the Centre and the involvement of all residents in our activities schedule. Games, music, art and many more activities are available to all residents in the Centre and all are encouraged to get involved. Family members and visitors are also encouraged to take an active part in our activities programme. |

An Teaghlach Uilinn has its very own oratory and regular multi-denominational services are available in the Centre to meet the spiritual needs of the residents. Mass is celebrated on a regular basis by local clergy and Eucharistic ministers are in place to allow residents to participate in the sacraments weekly.
At An Teaghlach Uilinn we believe it is essential to involve the family at every level of the care of the resident. We also feel it is important that family and friends are a part of the everyday life of the Centre. Therefore, we encourage and accommodate visits from family and friends at throughout the day and evening (excluding meal times), thus accommodating the busy lifestyles of those working outside or inside the family home. All facilities will, as far as is possible, be made available to families and friends to use with their relatives.
